Gateway Sound Says Goodbye to Tommy Fults

Gateway Sound (GS) says a special thank you to charter member Tommy Fults, who will be leaving the group late summer to spend more time fulfilling his duties as pastor to senior adults at his home church.

We could not have asked for a better team member to help provide the foundation for the beginning of GS. We will always be tremendously grateful for Tommy’s talent and dedication that allowed GS to accomplish so much in such a short period of time

With his training and background as a minister of the gospel, we often referred to Tommy as pastor to GS. His demeanor and relationships exemplify true Christian spirit.

Gateway Sound Welcomes Bruce Turnbough

GS welcomes new member Bruce Turnbough.

Bruce has a long history of singing gospel music, including part-time or full-time assignments with gospel groups, such as the Journeymen, the Mid Americans Qt., the Mid South Boys and the Missouri Boys

We are delighted Bruce is bringing his talent and experience to GS. We are confident those attending our concerts will enjoy the dynamic voice and spirit Bruce brings to the group.

He will make his debut with GS at the Quartet Night concert on August 12.

Ascension Qt. Welcomes Chris Judy and Matt Brooks

As with most anything there are seasons of change. The Ascension Quartet has been in the midst of one of those seasons of change for the last month or so and while it's never fun to make changes (let's face it, none of us really like change), we're sad to announce the departures of Bruce Horton and Lathan Moore who have been a part of the group for 2 and 3 years respectively. We want to thank Bruce and Lathan for their time in ministry with the quartet. They've both been a huge part of the group and we wish them the best in all that they do. With their help, both of our last 2 singles made it into the Singing News Top 80 charts.

As to the future, The Ascension Quartet is excited to announce our 2 newest members. The first person we'd like to introduce to you is our new lead singer, Chris Judy. Chris is no stranger to Southern Gospel music and has been singing all of his life in and around his hometown of Lebanon, MO it's only fitting that The Ascension Quartet should, again, have a member from Lebanon since the group started in Lebanon and was home to the quartet for several decades. Chris has been on stage with us a couple of times already and we're excited to get him out there with us all the time. Check our schedule and come out to see us when you can. We'd love to see you. You can see more of Chris on our website by going to www.theascensionquartet.com.

Our second new member is also no stranger to Southern Gospel music. Matt Brooks hails from Rolla, MO but he started singing years ago in his home town of Salem, MO. He has previously sung with Second Coming from Salem, MO and The Heritage Boys from Rolla, MO. Matt is a graduate of the Steve Hurst School of music and we're excited for you to get to meet he and his wife Angela. Check our website for more biographical information on both Chris and Matt then come out to see us soon. We think you're gonna like what you hear

Deb Griffin Joins the Redemptions

The Redemptions are proud to announce the addition of Deb Griffin to their vocal lineup.  Deb joins the group, replacing long time group member, Robyn Mackey,

Deb is an accomplished singer and musician. She is originally from the Bloomington, IL area where she grew up singing with her family group, the Gates Family, a popular Bluegrass Gospel group. She is a multi year graduate of the Stamps Baxter school of Music, plays several instruments and is an accomplished piano player.

The Redemptions are excited to have Deb and her husband Scott as part of their musical family. Deb should bring a new dimension to the group as she offers them the opportunity to not only do their traditional tracks but allows them to take requests and sing songs with the piano.

Deb has already began to fill dates with the Redemptions. Make plans to attend a concert soon and welcome her to the group.
