MAGMA Announces 2020 Lifetime Achievement Recipients 

 

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Mid America Gospel Music Association recently held their 21st Annnual Gospel Music Jubilee at New Heights Church in Farmington, MO.  During the two night event, the association presented their Lifetime Achievement Award. 

On Friday, Nov. 6, Steve Berry of the Berry Brothers received the honor for his many years in Gospel Music. Steve joins his father and mother, Clyde and Phyllis Berry and brother, Alan Berry, as recipient of this award.

Saturday evening, Nov. 7, the association honored Eldon Wright with the award.  Eldon has been involved in Gospel Music for 72 years and has sang with many of the Midwest's most popular groups over the decades, including the Victory Qt, the Gospel Singing Missourians and Reunion.

The two men join a long list of recipients who have received the honor over the last 21 years.

Wanda Mountain Boys Release "No Turning Back" 


The Wanda Mountain Boys are excited to announce the arrival of their latest studio recording, "No Turning Back".  The Missouri based quartet's CD includes 10 songs and  is available at their concert venues as well as on their website store.  

The project is also available, for the first time, on a USB drive.  The USB also includes the group's 2 most recent projects, "It's Worth It All" and "Christ is the One".

The 

MAGMA Presents 2019 Lifetime Achievement Awards 

The Mid America Gospel Music Association held it's 20th Annual Gospel Music Jubilee on Nov. 1 and 2 at the Centene Center in Farmington, MO.

The association took time to honor two individuals with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Friday night's recipient was songwriter, musician and journalist, Barbara Huffman.  Barbara is one of the top songwriters in all of Gospel Music and also a contributing writer for the leading Gospel Music publication, Singing News.

Saturday evening, the association honored Bruce Turnbough.  Bruce is currently the lead vocalist with Gateway Sound and has had a long musical career which includes working with the Mid South Boys and with several Branson entertainment shows.

The Ascension Quartet, from Springfield, MO has joined the Chapel Valley family of artists!

Wayne Hughes (tenor), Chris Judy (lead), Derrick Newman (baritone), and Walter Hayes (bass) have a smooth blend and a strong desire to carry the Gospel wherever the Lord leads them.

Jack Allen shared, “These guys are the real deal. They know how to sing and they put their hearts into the songs they’re taking out to a hopeless world. We are excited to welcome them aboard and can’t wait to share their new album with you!”

Their first radio release with Chapel Valley will go out just after the new year, so be watching for them.
