Unexplainable Grace Album

This new release by The Gospel Messengers is a culmination of a lifetime of hard work and immersion in gospel music. Much of this fine new album is comprised of the best music of yesteryear sung with tight family harmony. The great vintage material takes on a new life with the excitement that The Gospel Messengers bring to each tune. The passion these three gentlemen have for The Lord Jesus and great gospel music can be felt from the opening track “Love Lifted Me” to the final song “Walk With Me”, a tenor standard, which young Daniel croons with incomparable prowess. Though there is no doubt that superb song selection and polished vocals make up much of this album’s virtue, additional expertise was relied upon. To provide superlative accompaniment for the voices and fresh arrangements for the gems that Gospel Messengers chose to sing, the greatest studio musicians in Nashville, Tn were recruited. Playing piano is, one of gospel music’s finest, Tim Parton (formerly of Legacy 5 Quartet and presently with Jim Brady Trio). Guitar expert, Joel Key, who provided much of the guitar work for the classic film “O Brother Where Art Thou”, applied his mastery on both lead and rhythm guitar. Aaron Minick , an incredible lifelong drum virtuoso, knew exactly what tasteful and exciting beats to add on each song.

The recording of both the tracking and vocals were produced and overseen by Mr. Brian Speer at The Doghouse Studio in Nashville. Brian is the son of the great Brock Speer. Brian has spent his whole life around gospel music, performing (With The Speer Family), recording, and running sound. He knows exactly what our genre should sound like and consistently brings out the best in both the instrumentalists and vocalists on this project. This project is sure to bring tremendous enjoyment and many blessings to its listeners. When dedicated and inspired singers perform top-tier material arranged by master musicians, and produced by a seasoned studio man worthy of the formidable Speer name, the excellence is threefold and can only result in as fine a project as “Unexplainable Grace” proves itself to be.

Wanda Mountain Boys Welcome Clinton Everetts

The Wanda Mountain Boys have announced the addition of Clinton Everetts to the popular male trio.  The 23 year old, from Jacksonville, IL, will join the group immediately, filling the vacated position of the retiring Claude Johnson.

Clint has been involved in a solo ministry through his high school and college years, and has traveled with the Chosen Ones as a featured singer.  In December of 2014, Clinton was married to Tressa Rueter of the Chosen Ones.  Clint is featured on their latest recording, "There is a Purpose" as well as having 3 solo projects of his own.

Clint will join the group singing lead.  Group manager, Gary O'Neal, will move to the baritone position.

"We are excited to have Clinton as part of our ministry" said O'Neal.  "Rick and I are anxious to see what the future holds and look forward to working with Clint."  "Clint will revitalize the energy of the group and will appeal to a younger audience."

WMB is currently booking dates for the remainder of 2015.  For more information on the Wanda Mountain Boys or to contact them for a future engagement, visit them at www.wandamountainboys.com.

An Open Letter from Claude Johnson

June 10, 2015

Dear Friends,

For the last several months, I have been praying and contemplating a difficult decision concerning my future with the Wanda Mountain Boys. For the past 25 years, I have been fortunate enough to travel throughout the midwest and share the stage with some wonderful Christian gentlemen. With that being said, I feel like it is time for me to step aside as manager and baritone singer for the Wanda Mountain Boys. This change will take place immediately.

I have enjoyed the journey that the group has taken me on and look forward to the next chapter for the Wanda Mountain Boys. I will be turning the group over to Gary O'Neal. I feel like Gary's years of experience in Gospel Music and knowledge will allow the group to maintain the reputation and high standards that we have tried to maintain through the years.

Rick Brown will remain with the group, singing tenor, and they are currently auditioning singers to fill my position. The group plans to fulfill all dates that the group has scheduled and will be taking booking engagements for future dates. Please contact Gary O'Neal at 1-636-524-1354 or Rick Brown at 1-636-671-4134 with any concerns or if you would want to postpone their future engagement, otherwise, they will consider the date to remain active.

Please continue to pray for the Wanda Mountain Boys as they make this transition and know that in my heart, I will always be a Wanda Mountain Boy.

Best Regards,
Claude Johnson
