Wanda Mountain Boys Welcome Ron Mitchell

The Wanda Mountain Boys are excited to announce the addition of Ron Mitchell to their vocal lineup.  Ron will join the group, singing baritone.

Ron has been involved in Gospel Music for nearly fifty years, making his first recording at age 14. He has sung with prominent Midwest groups, the Gospel Echoes and the Bethelairs. He has recently been involved in a solo ministry. Not only is Ron an accomplished vocalist but is an excellent guitar player. His first memory of playing guitar was at age 5.  WMB plans to incorporate his musicianship into their live performances.

Ron has two CDs available, a vocal cd, "I've Never Been Out of His Care", as well as an instrumental project, "Familiar Favorites".

Group manager, Gary O'Neal will move back to the lead  position that was filled  by Clinton Everetts.  Ron's rich baritone voice will be a great addition to the groups overall sound.

"Clinton has been a blessing and wonderful addition to the group for the past 1 1/2 years." stated O'Neal.  "He will certainly be missed."  "We are very excited about this new chapter in his and Tressa's life and understand the desire to be home with his wife and new baby,"  "We are also very excited to welcome Ron and his wife, Sherry, to the Wanda Mountain Boys family and look forward to what God  has in store for us in the coming months and years.

Clint will remain with WMB through the remainder of 2016, finishing out the year on New Years Eve at the Bethalto Church of God.  We  hope to introduce Ron at some of our concerts prior to Clint's leaving as we prepare for the transition.
